Fringify (from fringe: outskirts, boundaries) is a platform for experimental art and independent theater. Across various locations in Hamburg, it brings together works that challenge conventions, cross disciplines and explore the margins — aesthetically, politically, socially.
From June 5–8, 2025, Fringify returns for its 11th edition with a program shaped by artistic curiosity and contemporary urgency. Productions from Hamburg’s independent scene meet regional and international guest performances — creating space for encounter, resistance and shared reflection.
Simple Language
Fringify is pronounced: FRIN-DSCHI-FEI.
It is a festival for special art.
The festival shows theater and performances that are different.
The art comes from Hamburg, from other cities and from other countries.
Fringify is:
– Art on the edge.
– Art that tries out new things.
– Art that asks questions – about politics, society and living together.
The festival takes place in Hamburg.
It runs from June 5 to 8, 2025.
Fringify wants to:
-Show new things.
– Make encounters possible.
– Invite you to reflect.
– And create space for exchange.
