A classroom of love: As love experts, the actors of the Klabauter Theater show that people learn about love throughout their lives. In various lessons, they expose romantic relationships as an arena of power dynamics. Together with the performance collective Frauen und Fiktion and the director Gregor Schuster, they invite the audience to join them.
The basis for this is the graphic novel “The Origin of Love” by Liv Strömquist, which humorously demonstrates how our thinking about love is shaped by restrictive gender concepts.. With new love songs and lots of humor, love in all its facets is celebrated in the classroom. From the first tingling sensation to falling in love and pure ecstasy to heartbreak: the performance questions learned templates about love to free bodies and minds. This creates a desire for a variety of forms and expressions of love that include everyone.
