Most people believe they know what racism is. Some have the privilege of being able to ignore it. But some of us are confronted with it every single day. Racism is everywhere. Racism harms people. Racism separates us from one another. Faced with so much suffering and injustice, five courageous performers set out to find answers to important questions: How can we truly be there for each other? How can we find the courage, together, to stand up against racism? And how can we develop a shared strength to do so?
“BEING THERE” is an anti-racist, documentary performance created in collaboration with the 7th and 8th grade classes of Stadtteilschule Eidelstedt.
